Welcome to Green Thursday

Extraordinary meetings between professionals

For seven years now, we have been doing something special. We invite 50 to 70 people to spend a long, late summer afternoon together, to discover mutual sources of inspiration, get a new perspective on something, find recognition.

Somewhere outdoors, with a surprising program and, above all, with time and space for meeting. There is no clear agenda to accomplish anything. We mainly facilitate the emergence of special and unusual encounters between professionals.

An invitation to Green Thursday is a personal invitation. We work with people who are “invitees” and invite a number of people from their network who fit the theme of the edition and complement the Green Thursday network in general.

Impact, inspiration, boldness

Groene Donderdag© organiseert ontmoetingen tussen wakkere, bewuste verschilmakers die geïnspireerd en met gevoel voor strategie en urgentie werken aan de uitdagingen van deze tijd. Professionals die de mogelijkheden zien binnen hun eigen vakgebied en zich daarnaast laten inspireren door ideeën van buiten het hun bekende. Die bewust in het leven staan en het belangrijk vinden om grotere groepen mensen bewuster te maken. Die slagvaardig aan de slag zijn met projecten en ideeën, waarin ze vernieuwing, verandering en nieuwe bewegingen in gang zetten. Wat precies je titel is, voor wie je werkt en hoe lang je al werkt, maakt niet zoveel uit. Bepalend is de gemeenschappelijke overtuiging om samen impact te creëren.

Met Groene Donderdag© brengen we een mix van mensen die werken aan de thema’s groen, duurzaamheid, klimaat en water samen. Een combinatie van disciplines, lagen en leeftijden. En uit verschillende vakgebieden. Omdat eenvormigheid niet inspireert en diversiteit wel.

Inspired and creative network

Green Thursday© was started in 2015 out of a desire to bring together inspired and creative professionals in sustainability, water, nature, climate adaptation, spatial planning, urban planning, communications, media, and design beyond the regular boundaries of organizations, existing networks, and consultation structures. And it has succeeded.

This year's edition was made possible by ARK Rewilding Netherlands and World Wildlife Fund. For which many thanks!

Edition 2024 brought people together under the theme “A New Thought. With this Green Thursday we brought together people who are looking for ways to enter into a different relationship with nature, to live, live and work in coherence and connection with nature. And try to get society on board with this. Who work from a new mindset.
